Your Story Lines: Exploring Points of Inflection in Racial Awareness, an Open Studio Process Experience with Pat B. Allen and Rhonda
Johnson Friday September 30th 1-3:30 pm EDT Online via Zoom Transforming our racial awareness is an inside job. Your Story Lines: Exploring Points of Inflection in Racial Awareness Uses Open Studio Process (OSP). We will identify points in personal history that make up our racial understanding and invite you to join us in an exploration of the
strengths and vulnerabilities in our personal and collective stories. "There is a need for deep, inward healing of our own racialized traumas, for people of all racial backgrounds. The Open Studio Process opens up a space to get
deeper into our own understanding, biases and core beliefs, so that we can understand them and intentionally move beyond them. It also offers space and a mechanism to soothe inner wounds and regain or reclaim inner strength." 2021 Workshop Participant Save the Date!! EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY
Telehealth and in-person
Tamara Teeter Knapp, MA, REACE, NCC, MHC Intern
Expressive arts therapy is a multimodal, holistic approach to counseling. It acknowledges the complexity of human experience by facilitating the client in exploring all aspects of the self, by inquiring through the imagination and the body about subjective experience, and expanding the play space to allow for new possibilities and shifts in consciousness that lead to desired
changes in one’s life. More
With warm regards and much gratitude,
Tamara and Kathleen
