Dear Creative Ones,
As this week unfolds, we continue to ponder how we cultivate our own inner light through expressive arts practice. It is such an important question to consider - how do you lift yourself and others up? How do you get back to your "just right place" if you feel your light dimming? What can you do to light the way for others?
Yesterday, we engaged in some meaningful and heart-centered art making in Open Studio and what arrived through images, movement, and writing lifted me up, helping me to embody the light that is within me and reflected in our beautiful creative community. I used black paper and a technique I love using white oclored pencils to draw light out of the darkness and invite color on top. It felt so good to see the light emerge, the
colors arrive and the smooth, soothing strokes of the pencil felt comforting to me. These words arrived:
Emerging from the darkness, held by the rich ground of void
Fractal light of cosmic origin
Release your fully sprectrum
Bear fruit and shine
Thank you for doing this work, for being the light, for holding the light for others and for yourself.
May your light shine brightly within and without.
With love and light,
Tamara
