Dear
We hope this email finds you well. To begin with we would like to thank you for the support you have given and continue to give us here at Expressive Arts Florida Institute. Whether it be in person, online, or in some other way, you have helped our expressive arts community to become what it is today. We are very
grateful.
At this time we are reaching out to you concerning the current outbreak of the COVID-19 virus and world health issue. As we are all aware, information is coming in from various health agencies and the news media. All of this can be very overwhelming especially as it changes from day to day.
As of yesterday, the World Health Organization (WHO) upgraded the virus to a pandemic. This is something that many of us have not experienced and it can definitely raise anxiety levels. We want to share with you some ways we will be dealing with this issue and its effects on our business operations and creative
community.
The most important thing to know is that we will do our best to keep ourselves, our studio, and all those who attend our programs and/or offerings safe and healthy. As of today:
- Our weekly on-site open studios will continue at this time.
- Our already scheduled workshops will be looked at individually by both EAFI and the facilitators. If cancellations need to take place, you will be contacted and refunds will be made to those who have paid.
- Any scheduled in-person one-on-one sessions may be subject to rescheduling.
In an effort to conduct fair business practices, all cancellations that are made due to the COVID-19 Virus will be 100% refunded.
We ask that as a way to help us and our community to stay healthy, you join us by continuing good hygiene practices. These include:
- Wash hands often.
- Wipe down any surfaces that are used on a regular basis like cell phones, keys, and so forth.
- If you or any family member becomes ill or develop a cough, we ask that you please stay home.
We offer online expressive arts sessions and/or self- study courses that can keep you creatively involved either on your own or as a group. We will continue to add opportunities to meet in creative community online as we all navigate the challenges of this global health crisis.
Please note: if you are a Certificate Program student, you will be receiving email updates specifically related to upcoming intensives.
As we receive new information we will be sure to keep you all updated.
Warmly,
Victoria, Tamara, and Kathleen
