"This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge."

We are bringing our annual Intention Setting to you in an online workshop!
But what about those of you at a distance?
You have asked, and this year we are going to bring Intention Setting to you!
Expressive Arts Intention Setting
via Zoom video conferencing
Wednesday January 2
7-8:30 pm
$37
Setting your intention is a powerful action to take at the beginning of a New Year, or anytime of year, really.
We always have the option to begin, again.
Guided meditation * visual art-making * movement * writing * witnessing * sharing.
Can't make the live event? The session will be recorded, so you can do it on your own.
Intention Setting has become a wonderful way to start the year. Last year my intention was to remain at peace even when surrounded by chaos. My practice of this intention has been a blessing to me this past year. I am looking forward to this year's Intention Setting to see what the new year will bring.

For the past seven years, the annual Intention Setting hosted by EAF has grounded and guided me. From a quiet field of all possibilities, I love the way we creatively explore, identify with, and then let go of what attribute(s) and practice(s) might support and nurture our best
selves. Returning to our intention over and over again throughout the year in a journal or whatever creative medium(s) speaks to us. Such a helpful, healing, expansive, and calming practice. For me, the annual intention is all about the journey - manifest, witness and learn. Powerful stuff.

Blessing for a New Beginning
In out-of-the-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.
For a long time it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness growing inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had outgrown.
It watched you play with the seduction of safety
And the gray promises that sameness whispered,
Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent,
Wondered would you always live like this.
Then the delight, when your courage kindled,
And out you stepped onto new ground,
Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plenitude opening before you.
Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening;
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life’s desire.
Awaken your spirit to adventure;
Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk;
Soon you will be home in a new rhythm,
For your soul senses the world that awaits you.
