An inner whisper? A forgotten longing?

Published: Sun, 10/29/17

A beacon of light.
Beckoning, from a tiny doorway, deep inside.
It calls for me, from across the room, across the world,
From deep within the Earth.
There is no missing it
If my eyes are open and my heart is beating.
If my heart is open and my mind is willing.
Can I enter the doorway?
Or am I already inside?

Dear

Listen.....can you hear it?
An inner whisper? A forgotten longing?

Allow an image to arrive on the page.....
What do you notice?
What is its message?
A new possibility?

Witness....
Be with your image.
No interpretation.
Just notice. Be curious. Give your image a voice, perhaps, and see what it says to you.
Embody your image. See how it moves in you.

Take the gift of creative wisdom into you life...
Each act of deeply listening and image-making is a step towards living more authentically. As you become increasingly attuned to what you know to be true, you show up in the world in a fuller way, bringing your best self to your relationships and your communities. This leads to change - personal, interpersonal, and social.

I created the image and writing above, very quickly, in an Expressive Arts Discovery virtual workshop last week. Every day since, I have turned to it, as its meaning in my life continues to unfold.

Our creative wisdom is something very real. It is something our world is calling for.

Many of us, for so long, have denied our wisdom, minimized it, or forgotten how to access it.

Expressive Arts is one of the paths to reconnection and expression of what we deeply know.

We have dedicated our business to making this path accessible. Everything we offer is a carefully crafted and guided steppingstone to change, and you can join us on this journey at whatever place you like.

Perhaps Open Studio on Wednesday mornings is just right for you. Expressive Arts Discovery is a virtual workshop which you can participate in from wherever you are.

Donna Papenhausen's newest offering is Pilgrimage, a 3-day intuitive painting and intentional creativity journey, Nov. 9-11. (that is Donna's powerful painting on the left.

Kathleen will guide you in Art as a Healing Practice on Monday evenings.
