Practicing Creative Self-Care: an essential life skill

Published: Thu, 02/25/16

Hi

We all know that self-care is essential.
The big question is - how do you practice self-care in the midst of your busy life?
If you are a caregiver, a parent, a helping professional - how can you better care for yourself and be more effective in caring for others?

One way is to focus on creativity!

*When we are being consciously creative, we are engaging a powerful force for wellness, healing, and re-balancing.
*When we are looking at our lives through the lens of creative expression, we are shining a light into the places of challenge, and bringing a fresh, new perspective to everything we do.

That is what "Art as a Healing Practice" is all about.

We have a brand new series beginning Friday March 4, 9:30 -12:30, in our Sarasota studio.

Art as a Healing Practice: Creative Self-Care for Helping Professionals
with Kathleen Horne, MA, LMHC, REACE
and Patricia Manning, RN, BSN, C/CES

Kathleen, a mental health therapist and expressive arts educator, and Patricia, a nurse with a background in Art and Healing, combine their skills to guide you!

And, best of all, you can earn CEU's in mental health and we have applied for contact hours for nurses through AHNA.

Open to all, whether or not you are a helping professional.
If you don't live nearby, consider coming for an intensive:
