Dear Creative Friend, We have been talking a lot about expressive arts as a wisdom path lately. As we prepare for our course coming up in a couple of weeks and we make preparations to welcome students from near and far, I (Tamara) have been thinking about the path. Where does it start? Where does it go? How do you find it? What does it feel or look
like? Then, one day I saw this wind spinner moving in the breeze:
As the breeze blew, it turned. It looked like a green ribbon coming right out of nowhere. Then, when the wind shifted, it spun in the other direction and went right back into nowhere. It just kept coming out and going into what appeared to be nothingness,
empty space. (if you want to see it, I made you a video here.) As I watched it - it was hard for me to take my eyes
off of it because it felt so exciting - I heard my inner voice say "that is exactly what it's like!" It is like we pick up the ribbon of our wisdom and move with it. It comes out of a spaciousness within us, like the empty space, and keeps moving. The potential for movement is always there, but we use the arts like the wind to find it and make it visible. This image
was inspired by the ribbon in the air. Once it arrived, I realized that my wisdom was also speaking to me about other things. I just picked up the thread from the wind spinner and it led me further inside.
I see you. bold and beautiful. You are a treasure. Imagine your own wisdom coming out of nowhere. It is always moving, like a stream, and you can create a breeze using your arts practice to make it visible. Try tuning into it by making marks or moving your body - just listen closely and you will feel it begin to move in the breeze.
If you would like to share with us, you can do that in our private Facebook Group. We would love to witness you. If you are not already a member, please be sure to fill out the membership questions in order to join. You may also enjoy following Kathleen's personal
