Dear Creative Friend, As we sat in the circle during one of our recent courses, an image appeared in my (Tamara) mind of each
of our life paths flowing toward that moment like a river, pooling and deepening in the center of the circle. Then Kathleen shared a poem that simply stated what I had been feeling. It included a word that had resonated with me the previous week and was still resounding in my soul - unfolding. Then I sat down at open studio and an image arrived with a deeply meaningful story. These little tidbits of wisdom in the form of words, images, movements, sensations are worth noticing. This is how
expressive arts informs our lives and enriches our life paths. As I continue to engage in my practice and notice connections between images as I go, I realize how there is a stream or river flowing through me that carries wisdom for my own unfolding. In the best of moments, I feel led, supported, and grateful.
Fluent by John O'Donohue I would love to live like a river flows, Carried by the surprise Of its own unfolding. As we come together to learn, we deepen, expand, and multiply the benefits of this work for ourselves and others. At this time in the world, it feels essential to find the places where our lives intersect and ways we can support one another toward our own unfolding. This image was created as I imagined each of us bringing ourselves to the circle, then joining our colors together in a new
way. We are grateful for all of those who have joined us in the circle so far and for those who will come into the circle still this year for training, workshops, and community. Together, we can listen to the stream of creativity that helps us access needed wisdom, courage, and strength.
Our next core course is coming up at the end of the month, EAFI 200 Facitlitation Skills in Expressive Arts. The last start date for the program in time to get all of the core courses this year is April 1-4. We anticipate the excitement and honor of witnessing the transformational journeys of each and every one of our
students in the circles we will create.
In the meantime, the Storytelling series continues Tuesday, our SoulCollage® series starts soon with an introductory workshop, and we have Expressive Arts Discovery this week. |

We invite you to try this - Begin with a line. You may want to make a line with paint, markers, crayons, oil pastels, or a pen. Start somewhere on
your page and continue with it, slowly following its lead allow it to continue for as long as you like then make another line, then another. Listen within as you make your lines. Notice what arrives and when it feels like "just enough", stop and write a few words. A list or a short "I am" statement. Then move your body in response to the image as you look at it and say the words out loud or in a whisper. Notice what arrives for you and offer gratitude for its
arrival.
Would you like to share your personal practice images? Our private Facebook group is a sanctuary for witnessing one another. (If you are a new member, please be sure to answer the questions and agree to the rules. That helps us to hold a safe and welcoming
space.)
With love and gratitude, Tamara, Kathleen, and the Expressive Arts Florida
