Dear Creative Friend, Well, here we are, planted firmly (or perhaps still a little tentatively), in 2025. We have come through
the Solstice, the Holidays, and into the New Year. How is that feeling for you? Perhaps you joined us for Intention Setting, and you have an image and an intention to help chart your course. Or maybe you have selected a word for the year, or have created a vision board. All of these practices, and more, can lay a powerful, intentional foundation for the upcoming year, even as we know that we will be meeting unexpected changes along the way. What a crowd we had for Intention Setting Online, and we thank you for joining us! So much heartfelt beauty, warm connection, and empowering art
and words were generated in our time together! Nurture your intentions throughout the year, knowing that you have unleashed some powerful energy. Setting an intention is like shooting an arrow into the future. It will guide you forward to meet it while taking you through whatever territory you need to navigate to get there. Share your intention with trusted others to add support and accountability. If you want to do the process and weren't with us live, there is a self-study version here. Here are our intentions for this year - Tamara (left) and Kathleen (right). You may hold us accountable. ❤️
For me, and perhaps for you as well, it is a good time to consider the question "Where Am I Now In My Life? * By feeling into the flow, qualities, tone and
terrain of our current life, we identify What Ira Progoff called our "Now Period". This is a potent process for listening within, and discovering what is simmering and seeking to be expressed in our lives. I just came across a video I made a couple of years ago, demonstrating a this process, and I thought it might be a good time to share it with you again. You
can use it to guide your own process.
"Where Am I Now?" is the first lesson in the Art as a Healing Practice Workshop Series, which is open for registration with a 40% discount for the month of January. I would love to have you join me. As with all the lessons, it includes
nature-witnessing, guided meditation, art-making, writing, and distilling the essential wisdom of the experience to weave into your life. In Art as a Healing Practice you can expect to inquire within, to have fun, to be surprised and delighted, to feel tender, to become more attuned to your creative process and artistic practice. It guides you to the
place where healing and creativity intersect. Most of all, it will assist you in discovering and sustaining a practice that becomes an ongoing part of your life. Tamara and I will also be presenting a 3-hour workshop expanding on this theme - Embracing the Now - at the IEATA conference - "Passport to Transformation" - at Endicott College in Massachusetts in June. We encourage you to come to this conference if you can!
Art as a Healing Practice is like viewing yourself through the lens of art and nature. This workshop has been well worth the money! ~ Karee Stosich

Wishing you a sweet and gentle entry into 2025. Kathleen, Tamara, and the Expressive Arts Florida team *Ira Progoff: At a Journal Workshop, Dialogue House,

This week we have 2 online offerings to share with you: We have been offering these two gatherings for quite some time and they have become a staple in both our personal and professional expressive arts journeys. People often ask us
what the difference is between the two and the answer is that Expressive Arts Discovery is more of a guided workshop, whereas Open Studio is a time for your personal art-making in a supportive community. If you haven't attended either one we encourage you to try something new this year! In February and March we have two special offerings that we're so excited to share
with you! On February 4th, 11th & 18th we'll welcome H. Fay Wilkinson for a 3 part online workshop series of Bridging Into Story: Exploring Ways to Tell the Untold. Are you looking for some new and
innovative ways to bridge into metaphorical but truth-full stories? Learn creative and innovative strategies you can use with yourself and others. Fay always brings a treasure trove of ideas and practices to her workshops! Register for one or the whole series. On Friday, March 21st we have a special IN-PERSON Training collaboration
with Eliana Gil, Kathleen, and Tamara that will provide CEUs for Play Therapists, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT. Sand, Soul, & Metaphor is an integrative training in Sarasota that weaves together the threads of Sand, Play and Expressive Arts therapies into a dynamic intermodal journey that will nourish you and enliven your work. The three of us are delighted to join together and offer you the synergy of our combined experiential work.
With 7 CEU's! The final opportunity to complete the Certificate Training Program in its current form will begin in April, starting with EAFI 110 Dive into Expressive Arts. This course can also be taken as a stand alone course and counts for 18 CEU's for LMHC, LMFT and LCSW. If you would like to attend an upcoming course or have questions, please email us at admin@expressiveartsflorida.com.
