These past few weeks have been a lot to process for many of us and we hope you've been able to take some time to connect with yourself through your expressive arts practice. Â As most of you probably already know, the Tampa Bay area was affected with back to back
hurricanes leaving widespread flooding, power outages and cell service interruptions. And while the damage has been devastating, we have also been reminded of the good in humanity, the human connection and the resilient spirit we all have within. Â We have seen communities unite and support one another, offering a helping hand in times of need. People have donated supplies and time, both to their neighbors and to strangers.
Linemen, government workers, friends and family have traveled far and wide to restore power, help with rescues, clear debris and check in on others. Â In the larger tapestry of life, the human connection is the thread that holds us all together. When faced with disaster all the masks come down, and the things that may have once kept us divided no longer matter. We come together as one for the
greater good.  "The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members." –
Coretta Scott King  We want to thank all of you for supporting us and reaching out during these times. Our expressive arts community is one we cherish deeply and do not take for granted. We are grateful for all of you and the practices that keep us grounded and connected. While we continue to rebuild, we encourage you to take the time to connect with yourself, reflect on what is most important to
you and perhaps connect or reconnect with someone in your own communities. And of course, we would love to connect with you at one of our upcoming events.
On October 29th, we'll have both Playback Theater:
Creation in Team and Expressive Arts Discovery! Â The Playback Theater event will be in person, in Sarasota, FL. Led by Olga Sanachina, you'll explore opportunities for collaboration with others and healing acting on stage.
Expressive Arts Discovery will be live online, and is a wonderful time to take a creative pause, connect within and gather with other creatives in a safe and supportive community.  We also have a new SoulCollage® event scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th!  SoulCollage®: Receiving Counsel from the Council Suit will be led by Diane Lampitt. In this workshop, Diane will share ideas for
creating Council cards and seeking counsel from them. She will also guide you through a brief visualization to meet a universal, archetypal or mythical energy ready to be explored in your SoulCollage® practice.   The 3rd workshop in the Imagining the Sacred series, "A Breath Away: Prayer as Inspiration and Response" is in November as well and will explore engaging the expressive arts as a form of prayer. We will play with arts as a sacred birthright, a natural way
to be human and connect with the divine. Â To see a schedule of all upcoming events, courses and workshops visit our calendar of events

Would you like to share your personal practice images? Our private Facebook group is a sanctuary for witnessing one another. It is not a place to share or promote your professional work; it is a place to share the images the arise from your deepest creative wisdom. (If you are a new member, please be sure to answer the questions and agree to the rules. That helps us to hold a safe and welcoming space.)Â
We hope to see you in the circle soon. With gratitude, Tamara, Kathleen & the
