Hello
Creative Friend, This week we continue to send love to those affected by Hurricane Helene and hope that recovery is underway. It is hard to imagine the far reaching impact of this storm, but we can use our imaginations to connect to what is most important to us as we take one step at a time toward recovery. In our Imagination and Images of God workshop, we invited the sacred into the circle. Every time we engage with our expressive
arts practice, we are aware of something present although it is hard to name. This is the aspect of our work that brings transformation and allows for what is not expected. It is the healing part, the "mystery". In our session, we explored this part and came to understand that if the right conditions are set up, participants encounter what is most meaningful to them even if that is different for each person. We invite you to engage in your practice when you can because it can offer you a window
into what is sacred for you, what is most important. Grab some art materials, move your body, make some lines, shapes, colors on the page then write in the voice of the image in words.
I am order and swirling laughter united, rising from the hope of promise after the storm.
On October 29th, we'll have both Playback Theater:
Creation in Team and Expressive Arts Discovery! The Playback Theater event will be in person, in Sarasota, FL. Led by Olga Sanachina, you'll explore opportunities for collaboration with others and healing acting on stage.
Expressive Arts Discovery will be live online, and is a wonderful time to take a creative pause, connect within and gather with other creatives in a safe and supportive community. We also have a new SoulCollage® event scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th! SoulCollage®: Receiving Counsel from the Council Suit will be led by Diane Lampitt. In this workshop, Diane will share ideas for
creating Council cards and seeking counsel from them. She will also guide you through a brief visualization to meet a universal, archetypal or mythical energy ready to be explored in your SoulCollage® practice. To see a schedule of all upcoming events, courses and workshops visit our calendar of events here. |
Would you like to share your personal practice images? Our private Facebook group is a sanctuary for witnessing one another. It is not a place to share or promote your professional work; it is a place to share the images the arise from your deepest creative wisdom. (If you are a new member, please be sure to answer the questions and agree to the rules. That helps us to hold a safe and welcoming space.)
We hope to see you in the circle soon. With gratitude, Tamara, Kathleen & the

Embracing the Wisdom of Nature The wisdom and lessons of the natural world are everywhere, and we are a part of that world. Our creativity brings us into alignment with that natural wisdom. In this self-study workshop, you will engage with the natural world, contemplative inquiry, art-making, movement, writing, and
reflection. Through audio and written guidance, you will be invited to choose a place in nature, or a natural element, allowing your eyes, ears, senses and heart guide you. Through a series of questions and invitations, you will deeply witness and engage with this part of the natural world.
