Imagining the Sacred: Imagination and Images of God

Imagination plays an important role in any spiritual path. Any encounter with the Sacred Other involves moving into the unknown, and imagination is the human faculty that helps us to do so. This workshop will explore images and how they function, including images of God or the sacred. We will consider different sources of images, and how to uncover and play with images that are operating in ourselves and our directees.

Led by expert facilitators, Renee Bhatia MDIV, and Tamara Teeter Knapp MA, NCC, REACE, you'll discover how to bring the arts into your spiritual direction practice & how to deepen your expressive art practice by engaging with the spiritual aspect of expressive arts.
