February 4: Create your own unique Story Cards and explore intermodal ways of using them for yourself and the people you work with. Experience simple and accessible story frameworks that will expand your notion of what stories are and how they can be told.
February 11: Focus on how to bridge into stories of grief and gratitude,
(inspired by Francis Weller’s 5 Gates of Grief) using metaphor as the foundation. Experience intermodal shifts to amplify an emerging theme from your art making. Discover multiple poetry forms and story structures.
February 18: Bridge into other creative (more non-traditional) ways of tapping into story. Examples include sand talk, separate from therapy, and creating foil figures with accompanied scripts. Draw on the natural world, photography and found images to inspire additional untold metaphorical stories. Take part in a discussion of entering the digital world of storytelling and pull the threads of this series together.
