The most important thing we offer in spiritual direction is ourselves, fully present, embodying the way we imagine the divine at work in the world. This workshop will explore our role as spiritual directors through the arts, ways of attending to our practice, and noticing how we are growing and changing in response to this work. We will consider the quality of
presence, and how to prepare for and care for the work of spiritual direction.
Led by expert facilitators, Renee Bhatia MDIV, and Tamara Teeter Knapp MA, NCC, REACE, you'll discover how to:
- engage in an intermodal expressive arts experience to explore your role as a spiritual director
- consider the quality of our presence and its impact on spiritual direction
- engage with the arts for self-reflection and supervision
