Dear Creative Friend, Last week, Tamara and I had the honor of teaching online at Chinese University of Hong Kong, in Fiona Chang's Person-Centered Expressive Arts Therapy training program. What a delight to be with these 20+ students, instructing them in our expressive arts approach. They were enthusiastic, curious, and engaged, and created the most
exquisite small-group presentations integrating elements of nature with their art images and writing. We thank our dear friend and colleague Fiona Chang, for this
opportunity! Â

Fiona has been a long-time presenter for EAFI, as well, and we look forward to welcoming her as a guest faculty in EAFI 220: Expressive Arts in the World, coming up in September! Did you know that if you are a new student in our certificate training program you can take EAFI 220 as your first core course, if you have completed Creative Wisdom? (scroll down to learn
more). Â
CUHK Students in EXA process  In these times of intense divisiveness and polarization, the expressive arts are unifying, as we reach across
boundaries - oceans, lands, and cultures - to come together through authentic, tender, and powerful expressions of our soul. Just this week, I (Kathleen) held an Open Studio session with participants from 3 countries, and an Art as  Healing Practice session with folks from both sides of the Atlantic. In each gathering, we reached deeply into our hearts, and brought forth precious gifts from the imaginal world to offer both ourselves and one another. I am changed, both by what I created and by what I had the honor to witness.Â
And yesterday I participated in an IEATA Board meeting. As I looked around the Zoom room at colleagues from Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Canada, and various regions of the U.S., I was deeply moved by so many people giving their hearts, skills, and time to this work. Please join IEATA, if you are not yet a member. There are several levels of membership. Take advantage of the international member gatherings and perhaps join a committee, or become a board member. This is healing work. It is global work. And it is vital. I see it as a web of change, and there are so many ways to join in. We encourage you to take the next step, in
whatever way is right for you. We all have something important to contribute. Â
"Hearts Connected" Spontaneous image created during IEATA monthly gathering, facilitated by Helen Lee, EAFI
graduate, IEATA Regional Coordinator for Asia  Tamara has created a new offering - Mindful Art Play Days - which you can learn about below. It is another opportunity to mindfully connect with others, from anywhere in the world, through the arts. We hope you will join in, and bring yourself to the circle of connection!  |
Our private Facebook group has members from around the globe. We see it as a sanctuary for witnessing
one another's heartfelt images. It is not a place to share or promote your professional work; it is a place to share the images the arise from your deepest creative wisdom. The deeply personal is the universal. We hope you will join us there. (If you are a new member, please be sure to answer the questions and agree to the rules. That helps us to hold a safe and welcoming space.)Â Â We also have a few new workshops coming up this summer! Take a look below at the "Save the Date" section for all upcoming classes & events!Â
We hope to see you in the circle soon.  With gratitude, Kathleen, Tamara, and the Expressive Arts Florida Team

This week we do not have any live events happening!
We always take a bit of a summer break in July and are enjoying nature and time with our families. If you are looking for an art process, we recommend either purchasing one of our self-study courses OR retaking an online course you already have access to. There can be new beauty found in repeating the same art process and we encourage you to try it out. We also have several complimentary art processes you can try at the link here. |
All Self-Study Courses contain detailed, yet approachable instructions, videos, and meditations facilitated by Kathleen & Tamara. The imagery and guidance from this work can assist
you, whether dipping your toes into expressive arts or seeking a deeper connection.  *All courses come with lifetime access so you can refer back to them at any time! *No previous art experience is necessary! |
