Hello Creative Friend, Words of wisdom shared in our recent course continue to resonate within me (Tamara) and I am aware that I keep asking the question Markus Scott-Alexander posed: "What can we do?" (Rather than "what can I do?") What a great question! (His Expressive Arts Without Borders group exceeded 10,000 members in one year - wow!) Imagine how much goodness is being shared all around the world in such a group. Together, we can do so much more than we can do all on our own. This week there were so many reminders of this truth as well as nudges to continue to look for ways to work together in service of healing and positive change. To name a few - collaborative IEATA Conference proposal submissions (today is the last day!), gathering for Open Studio to create magic, embodying other than human beings for a Council of All Beings with Hector Aristizabal to heal our world, and meeting with our amazing mentoring team and students. Everywhere, each day, we have the opportunity to join another to use our collective imaginations to bring healing to this world and each other. We are so grateful to you
for joining with us on this journey by sharing your creative spirit with the world too. Here is our amazing mentoring team - we want to thank each of them for accompanying EAFI students on their training paths. It is such a joy to work with you all!
This week, consider what might be possible by joining together with others. In what ways do you collaborate creatively with others? What does the question "What can we do?" feel like, look like, sound like to you? Is there an image that arrives right away in response? We invite you to
explore it and see what might emerge. You are not alone. We are here working toward a better world with you.
This week we have Online Open Studio on Tuesday from 1:00-4:00pm EDT. This is a great time to connect with yourself & others in creative community. In October, we have our 2nd workshop in the Imagining the Sacred series with Renee Bhatia and Tamara;
Imagination and Images of God. This workshop will explore images and how they function, including images of God or the sacred. We will consider different sources of images, and how to uncover and play with images that are operating in ourselves and our directees.
We are still accepting applications for our next expressive arts certificate training program start date! EAFI 130: Scope of Expressive Arts. This course will be in person, in Sarasota, FL in October! Respond to this email if you're interested and we'll send you more info! We are finalizing our list very soon! To

Would you like to share your personal practice images? Our private Facebook group is a sanctuary
for witnessing one another. It is not a place to share or promote your professional work; it is a place to share the images the arise from your deepest creative wisdom. (If you are a new member, please be sure to answer the questions and agree to the rules. That helps us to hold a safe and welcoming space.)
We hope to see you in the circle soon. With gratitude, Tamara, Kathleen & the Expressive Arts Florida Team |
