In this new workshop, you will be guided through the process of folding the Boustrophedon (“As the Ox Plows”) and
binding it using needle and thread.
“As the Ox Plows” is an ancient term in farming and literacy. It basically means going back and
forth. This simple book structure is folded, cut, folded, and then bound (if desired). It creates a single signature from one piece of paper – it’s wonderful!
Tamara will guide you through each step as you create a simple book from your own visual artmaking as your own unique container for mindful art play. You will be able to customize the process to make it your own as you create the
space and place for your ongoing personal practice.
In this workshop, you will:
➡️ Learn the Boustrophedon practice
➡️ Move through a visual arts practice
➡️
Create your own Boustrophedon book
➡️ Get together in creative community
This workshop will take place after our In Person Open Studio! Feel free to make a day of creative self-care by coming to both!
