Sole's Studio at Atelier Centro Cultural, Buenos Aires, Argentina (2023) Sole Rueda Intuitive Artist, Expressive Arts Facilitator, Educator and Consultant. Buenos Aires, Argentina https://www.solerueda.com/en |
Sole is an Intuitive Artist, Expressive Arts facilitator, educator and consultant living and working in Argentina. She runs her private practice at her studio in Buenos Aires and she facilitates expressive arts experiences at schools, corporations and private
settings. She is also serving IEATA as a coordinator for the South America Region. Sole studied business administration at Universidad de San Andres and worked in companies until her search led her to the world of the Arts. She explored different art modalities. She studied and practiced "Point Zero Intuitive Painting'' with Michele Cassau, “The Painting Experience” with Stewart Cubley, “5 Rhythms'' with Jonathan Horan and Kelly Satz, Yoga Vinyasa Teacher Training at Yogabaires, Vipassana and Mindfulness Meditation with Shauna Shapiro. She intuitively started to blend these languages in her creative practice and also
in her workshops. She was fascinated when she discovered the field of Expressive Arts in 2021, so she jumped into the EAFI Training Program. Following her love for researching and studying through the Arts, Sole is currently pursuing an M.A. in Expressive Arts at the European Graduate School (EGS, Switzerland). Sole has been sharing her passion for the transformative power of the Arts, facilitating creative experiences and workshops for children and adults since 2013 at The Global School, Southern Cross School, Blooming Kindergarten, Escuela del Sol San Martín de los Andes, Patagonia, Saint Andrew’s Scot School, Fundación FORO for Mental Health,
etc. |
Sole, what drew you to the field of Expressive Arts, or motivated you to get Expressive Arts training? |
I consider myself an explorer. I always loved to paint and create with my hands. Since I was a little girl, I painted everything I found in my house...furniture, walls, fabric. It was, and still is, a beautiful game for me. Growing up and following what I thought I “should” do, I studied
Business Administration and worked for companies until I realized I was not happy and embarked on a journey to look for that spark again. That search led me to the world of the Arts. For many years, I looked for healing through creative intuitive exploration, so I painted, danced and wrote to feel free and alive. I intuitively started to mix and blend these languages until I discovered in the Expressive Arts a rich field of theory and also a community aligned with the path I had been following
from my heart.
Natural Goddess Sagoma EAFI 110: Dive Into Expressive Arts March 2022 |
As you began to immerse yourself in this work, were there any unexpected gifts or surprises? |
Yes!! And that is one of the things I love the most about EXA, that there are ALWAYS surprises!! It keeps amazing me every time. I remember starting with Creative Wisdom, I was alone in my house, still in pandemic, and I could not believe what was happening in front of me. I felt I had always been waiting
for this kind of work to finally unite or integrate all the parts of me that were separate.

How are you currently implementing expressive arts in your personal and/or professional life?
|
In
2022 I opened my art studio in El Atelier Centro Cultural, a community of artists in Buenos Aires, to work together and share our passion for working with the Arts. There I offer expressive arts weekly/monthly workshops where participants can explore with different modalities, including meditations, guided visualizations, intuitive painting, writing, movement, instruments, collage, storytelling, improvisations and clay. I also offer personalized 1:1 sessions to explore different themes through
the arts. I facilitate Nature Based Expressive Arts experiences for groups in different natural locations like Delta (Tigre, Buenos Aires), San Martin de los Andes (Patagonia), etc.
In the education field, I am
facilitating a Creativity Lab for high school students at The Global School in Buenos Aires. I am also part of The Learning Space, an educational consultant that offers services like talks and training to the educational community. I also offer creative experiences to corporate and private groups.

What are your goals in this work, or how to you envision your involvement with EXA unfolding in the future? |
I see myself sharing the power of healing through the arts in many more places, to many more people!. That is what I envision, contributing to that expansion in all directions. That is one of the reasons I joined IEATA as a regional coordinator for South America.
Nature Based EXA Experience: Collaborative Mandala with Nature Delta Tigre, Buenos Aires, 2023 Inspired by Sunny
Stewart's work!
How has EXA enriched or expanded your career path (if applicable)? |
EXA gave me a solid theory upon which I could lean, and allowed me to trust in myself and the process more than ever. It organized my path and expanded the range of possibilities I could see for my work. It inspired me to dream bigger than I was dreaming. |
