Everything we offer at Expressive Arts Florida is a pathway to what we have come to call 'creative wisdom'. We work with the spirit of being a loving witness, in
carefully created safe spaces. We are passionate about sharing that practice with you in myriad ways, and supporting you in sharing it, in your own unique way, to your clients, students, and to the world. Intermodal expressive arts is a direct pathway to the wisdom inside us, and the wisdom of the interconnected web of life that we are a part of. Wisdom Arising by Kathleen Horne (watercolor, begun in an EAFI intensive) Noticing the descriptions of upcoming workshops, we see that Susan O'Connell names a 'poetic sanctuary", Renee Bhatia a 'deepening relationship with mystery" and Diane Lampitt creates a 'space where the soul finds a sanctuary'. Expressive arts practice is a way of staying attuned and connected to our own inner life and authenticity. It makes self-reflection
tangible, allowing us to see and feel our dreams, our grief, our conflict, our triumphs, and to feel them more clearly in our body. Our current inner experience is brought into the light, through trusting our imagination and creativity. A safe space, and skillful authentic witnessing, fosters self-compassion, and openings to possibilities for change. Markus Scott-Alexander, another upcoming presenter, invites us into a deeper way of knowing, as we discover and name 'the just right next'.
For many of us, it is easier to be a loving witness to others than to ourselves. At the beginning of the covid 19 pandemic, we created this complimentary creative
resource. We invite you to try it, or return to it now. The meditation, image making and writing invite you to witness your inner life with compassion and discover what you already know deep inside. Click to access the Loving Witness Art Meditation. |
