Dear While most of
our training courses are held online, October is the month that our students come to Sarasota! What a joy it is to meet people off screen, in the studio, the garden, the labyrinth, and the beach! Many of us have been sharing and connecting through Zoom for a year or more, and the deepening that happens when we finally meet in-person is something to treasure and celebrate! This past week, we moved through the scope of expressive arts, with processes that focus on the intra-personal and the
inter-personal. Individual and collaborative art, music making, a community beach mandala and more filled our days with learning, connection, tears and laughter. Next week we will be exploring the foundations of expressive arts, honoring the founders of the field, as well as the threads in ourselves that have led us to this work.
We thank all the friends who came out to Lido Beach on Thursday, joining us in setting intentions, sharing silence, song, laughter and community, as we placed objects in the sand, and
marveled at the sky, the birds, the water, the sunset.
Why not take a few minutes this weekend to set a healing intention by lighting a candle, singing a song, reading a poem, creating an altar with natural materials, or whatever
speaks to you. Here is a poem to inspire you today. Hope by Rosemerry Wahtola
Trommer Hope has holes in its pockets. It leaves little crumb trails so that we, when anxious, can follow it. Hope's secret: it doesn't know the destination - it
knows only that all roads begin with one foot in front of the other. This poem is from All the Honey, Poems by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, and was shared with us by Susan O'Connell who will be facilitating a Poetic Medicine Workshop online on November 27. It will be wonderful.

Tamara will be participating in the "Step Into the Light: A Mental Health Summit" this Saturday, October 28th! If you are in Sarasota or the surrounding area and feel called to attend we encourage you to do so. This event is free and open to the public and designed to empower attendees to learn new coping skills, promote mental health wellness in their environment, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. |
With gratitude, Kathleen, Tamara

Level 2 courses can be taken after one Level 1 course is taken. Some students take all of Level 1 first and then proceed to Level 2, whereas other students take both Levels simultaneously. If
