Whether you are a student in our Certificate Training Program, an expressive arts facilitator, or a therapist, these training workshops will enrich and expand your knowledge and practice. It is often said that the thinking mind or intellect can pose a barrier to creative expression. Yet, without thought, creative expression is incomplete. Do you want to learn a time-tested way to engage holistically with your entire being: heart, soul, spirit, body and mind? Join us for a guided experience of paired text learning along with the Open Studio Process of intention setting, art making and witness as a way of integrating intellect and imagination.

This is an 8-week introductory training into the field of expressive arts and the pre-requisite for our Certificate Training Program. You will learn a basic overview of expressive arts, what it is, theories, approaches, applications etc and how to apply this work into your personal and professional life. 

10 expressive arts lessons that can be done at your own pace. These easy to follow lessons are instructed by Kathleen and Tamara and can be done in any order at any time.

A 6 week self-study course. Each lesson includes a guided meditation and an invitation to art making and writing.

This self study course includes a lecture and powerpoint on mandalas by Kathleen Horne, followed by a guide to creating your own personal mandala. Includes a step by step demo, guided meditation, journal prompts and additional mandala resources.

In this course you will learn how to adapt the focus of expressive arts processes from intrapersonal to interpersonal, group and community. You will learn how both individual and collaborative expressive arts processes are utilized and how to design and facilitate collaborative art projects. 

In this course you will learn how expressive arts effects change in all aspects of human experience: body, mind and spirit. You will explore ways in which the different arts modalities bring growth and change, and how they work together as a holistic model. You will also engage with an exciting and potent array of individual and group processes, focusing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual experience.  

In this course you will immerse yourself into Expressive Arts process, including visual art, sound, music, movement, drama, writing, and guided meditation. You will learn how to set an intention and follow the thread of your own creative process and imagery through a series of guided experiences. This course is a great introduction to the power of intermodal expressive arts!
