Dear Creative One, We transformed our Zoom screen into a circle as we gathered for another Alumni Series workshop with Susan Paul Johnson to explore the powerful use of mandalas for personal reflection. It was exciting and uplifting, informative and inspiring! Susan is one of our graduates, a mentor in our program, and a member of the board for IEATA along with her work with Creating Mandalas - what a treat to be able to spend a whole afternoon learning from her! Mandalas are something that we love here at Expressive Arts
Florida and often we create them as a daily practice, in community, or as an art piece. It is very exctiing to learn something new about a form that we have practiced for years - there is so much to learn about mandalas that you could spend your whole life learning about them and yourself in the process. Isn't that wonderful? We started by considering circles in our immediate surroundings and in the world outside. As we reflect now, we consider the sun and the cycle of the solar calendar, which is coming around this week to Summer Solstice. The longest
days of the year (in the northern hemisphere) are this week and summer is upon us. Here, you can learn more about traditions around the world that honor the Solstice. As the light is at its peak on the outside, it reflects back to us our own
inner light, which we have carried with us throughout the year. We take our practice with us as we travel and head outside for some summer fun and adventure. We invite you to consider a practice that you can take with you on your adventures. Maybe it is a small sketchbook with a mandala drawn on each page and a pouch of
drawing materials. Take a few minutes or a luxurious hour to create something in a circle. Susan helped us see how powerful It can be to consider what colors and symbols you are drawn to and how your own mandala contains a whole world of experience for you. Consider what gives you pleasure and follow its lead. We hope you will celebrate the light within and without this week by getting outside, making art, spending time with loved ones, or whatever nurtures you most. And we hope to see you in the circle again soon for more Alumni offerings, Professional Development, personal development and fun, creative explorations! With love and light, Tamara & Kathleen |

In this workshop we will explore integrative, expressive art making as a pathway of 'direct revelation,' spiritual awakening, and accessing the Universal Life-flow within us all. The goal of this workshop is to provide participants
with an opportunity to step into the imaginal realms, release preconceived notions of who or what they are, and consider their unique inner, creative, landscapes as personalized playgrounds for divine connection and spiritual transformation. Learn more about Terra in her Alumni

individual and collective trauma through a lens of inter and intra- personal neurobiology.
