Dear Creative One, Our
hearts and our Zoom screens were filled with love on Friday as Sunny Stewart kicked off our Alumni Workshop Series with Sacred Tree - An Eco-Expressive Workshop. Sixteen of us meditated, made art, wrote, shared, and immersed ourselves in deep appreciation of the natural world, under Sunny's gentle and exquisite guidance. In this work, we are each rooted in the ancient teachings of the arts as a path to deep knowing and connection with earth. Wisdom has been passed down from our teachers, to us, through us, and on to our students. We all learn from one another, and are enriched by each person's gifts. Everyone who makes the choice to step into this field has the opportunity to embrace collective wisdom and unfold it in their
own life in a unique, original, and deeply rooted way. And, in turn, more seeds are sown and more light is offered. Witnessing and supporting our alumni as they each polish the jewel of their own unique practice is an honor. In the coming weeks, we host three more of our graduates, as
they bring to you their unique skills and passions. Mandalas for Deep Personal Reflection (Susan Paul Johnson), The Power of You (Jo-Ann Dellaposta), Shamanic Energy-Arts (Terra Dyer Gill) are next in this evolving series. We hope you will join us for one or more. Consider: What is your own unique jewel in this work? Your own piece of the field? Perhaps you are just starting out and beginning
to envision and shape your work, or maybe you are already practicing exactly what you were meant to do? Take a few minutes to write about it, or move, or make an image. Honor your own unique gift. We are each doing our own part, and together we make a beautiful, world-changing whole. With love, Kathleen & Tamara Coming Up This Week! - Expressive Arts Discovery is on Tuesday! This monthly
workshop has become a staple of creative connection for many of us.
- On Friday, Susan Paul Johnson, treasured Alum and EAFI Mentor, will guide us in creating mandalas, and considering ways of deepening their meaning – from journaling to interpreting motifs and symbols.

Tamara Listen. Learn. Make Art. Share. Witness. Discover. |
Alumni Series Workshops! These workshops are open to anyone who feels called to participate. |
Circles can be surprising! Ever been curious how to deepen your expressive arts work through creating mandalas? Using different prompts and intermodal
processes, Susan will guide you through creating intuitive mandalas and working with them to find depth of meaning. In this workshop, we will create
mandalas and consider different ways of deepening their meaning – from journaling to interpreting motifs and symbols we use personally. We will add movement as a way to experience our mandalas and enhance our own understanding of what may lie within. |
Through guided meditation, and an integration of Reiki, sound energy and expressive arts
modalities, we will focus on opening and balancing the 3rd Chakra. Participants will:
-Release the blocks that stop you from experiencing your uniqueness -Keep the energy moving to utilize your personal power and strength -Feel confident and capable to be your individual, authentic self -Learn the steps necessary to keep this energy center clear and thriving -Simulate your learning through the various expressive art modalities, making your experience real and concrete. Using visualization and projection, Reiki is sent to each participant during guided meditation. Reiki and sound healing is used to open and clear the chakra paths, making way for the creative expression of energy. Learn more about Jo-Ann in her Alumni Spotlight! |
In this workshop we will explore integrative, expressive art making as a pathway of 'direct revelation,' spiritual awakening, and accessing the Universal Life-flow within us all. The goal of this workshop is to provide participants
with an opportunity to step into the imaginal realms, release preconceived notions of who or what they are, and consider their unique inner, creative, landscapes as personalized playgrounds for divine connection and spiritual transformation. Learn more about Terra in her Alumni
Spotlight! Online Open Studio Tuesday June 27 1-4 pm Professional Development Series Throughout the year, we offer Professional Development workshops with leaders in the field. This month, we welcome back Mitchell Kossak! Receive a Certificate of
Completion, submit for CEU's, and gain access to the recording as well as the live workshop! In the fall, Susan O'Connell, Topaz Weis, and Pat B. Allen/ Rabbi Adina Allen will be offering Professional Development workshops, too. |
This workshop will be a time to reflect on the inner and outer landscapes with a focus on how expressive arts can address
individual and collective trauma through a lens of inter and intra- personal neurobiology. Through guided exercises that use breath, sound, rhythmic drumming, movement and image making we will explore how a re-alignment with personal and transpersonal rhythms can help to facilitate a sense of psychospiritual unity and begin a process of healing.
