Dear Creative Ones, Today we are particularly thankful for a couple of things. One is the global connection and
community that is formed, held and nurtured through expressive arts practice. - We could travel to almost anywhere in the world and connect with someone else who practices expressive arts!
There is an immediate bond of understanding, a sharing of the same language, a trusting connection that runs deep. There is a sense of community based on authenticity, generosity, and valuing the importance of the imagination.
Kathleen in Guatemala with Frances, Evelyn, Mayari, Pili - sharing a meal, making art, and building connections. Upcoming
Planting Seeds of Color in Guatemala workshop grew out of our time together. The second is the opportunity to support and witness the professional and personal growth and blossoming of so many extraordinary people through their immersion in expressive arts
training. - Many people who seek out expressive arts training are feeling and responding to a call, and taking the courageous step to show up for the journey. Coming to the circle from a wide
variety of backgrounds and ages, they water the seeds of a longing or a vision and support one another in discovering what is essentially a wisdom practice. That is how it has been, and still is, for us. As teachers, guides and mentors, we joyfully witness - often in awe - the pathways of our students as they each flower in their own unique way, unfolding a never-before-seen petal of expressive arts practice in the world.
Image created by Kathleen in response to our most recent group of students in EAFI 110 Intermodal Expressive Arts Intensive. "We flow and undulate, moving to one rhythm, one drumbeat, one collective energy." We encourage you to take a look at the first three

Eco-expressive arts, mandalas of reflection, and an integration of expressive arts, Reiki, and guided meditation are the unique workshops our alumni are offering. Alumni Series Workshops! These workshops are open to anyone who feels called to participate. |
Sacred Tree offers you an opportunity to explore the nature of trees through a creative cycle of expression. You are invited to journey through poetry, guided visualization, visual art making, and writing as a means of connecting with and embodying the natural element of trees. This workshop is intended to foster a sense of interconnection and belonging in the natural world which supports our personal and communal well-being. |
In this workshop, we will create mandalas and consider different ways of deepening their meaning – from journaling to interpreting motifs and symbols we use personally. We will add movement as a way to experience our mandalas and enhance our own understanding of what may lie within. |
Through guided meditation, and an integration of Reiki, sound energy and expressive arts
modalities, we will focus on opening and balancing the 3rd Chakra. Participants will:
-Release the blocks that stop you from experiencing your uniqueness -Keep the energy moving to utilize your personal power and strength -Feel confident and capable to be your individual, authentic self -Learn the steps necessary to keep this energy center clear and thriving -Simulate your learning through the various expressive art modalities, making your experience real and concrete. Through guided exercises that use breath, sound, rhythmic drumming, movement and image making we will explore
how a re-alignment with personal and transpersonal rhythms can help to facilitate a sense of psychospiritual unity and begin a process of healing. Online Offerings Coming up... |
