It's been a beautiful week, and it's the last chance to register for a couple of offerings.... Dear Creative One, This week began with a day-long training with an inspiring group of Tidewell Hospice volunteers, as we explored possibilities and practices for bringing the expressive arts into their work. We worked with natural objects, colorful scarves, mini mandalas, poetic memory cards, guided meditations, and healing hands, interspersed with laughter, tears, and heartfelt sharing, What an amazing organization! We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate, and to offer them an
expressive arts component to the full spectrum of healing and compassionate work they are doing. Thank you, Tidewell Hospice! And, on Friday, we ended the week with an in-person Open Studio and Hands of Light Workshop. What a beautiful day it was! Old and new friends, gathering together, entering the mystery through expressive arts, reconnecting
with our inner light, and drawing that light forward, with prismacolor pencils, black paper, writing, witnessing and sharing. Magic happened in the connections and reconnections, the profound messages of the art, and the spontaneous sharing. More and more, we experience this work as a wisdom path. Gathering together, in a safe and accepting circle, we witness, over and over, how it opens us up to our deepest and most profound knowing, changing our lives and the
lives of those around us. We invite you to bring your own inner light to the collective. With love, Kathleen and Tamara Registration Deadline is Monday March 13 Register now and we will mail a kit to you. Diane Lampitt, M.Ed., SoulCollage® FacilitatorOnline via Zoom$40 +$5 supply fee Welcome spring! The spring equinox brings us out of winter and officially starts the season of spring. The word equinox comes from the Latin aeguus (equal) and nox (night) meaning “equality of night and day.” This time of seasonal change is a time of celebration, rebirth, and renewal. We associate this time with “spring cleaning” and “turning over a new leaf.” The spring equinox is a turning point when daylight begins to win out over
darkness. During this workshop we will engage in the
practice of SoulCollage® as a means to mark the seasonal change within and around us. SoulCollage® is a fun and easy way to discover and affirm our own inner wisdom and truth. We will create and consult our SoulCollage® cards in light of celebrating this day of rebirth and renewal. We will plants seeds of possibility to nurture our souls in this new season. Last Week to register for Level One until October! We are saving you a seat in the circle! Is it time for you to begin your training? The training is exceptional, and the instructors are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. This course will introduce you to the power of intermodal expressive arts and significantly improve your creativity, self-awareness, and overall well-being. The experience was truly transformative for me. It is an essential experience for anyone
looking to incorporate expressive arts into their personal and professional lives.“ Dr. Heidi Heft LaPorte. MSW, DSW Associate Professor of Social Work Ellen Whiteside McDonnell | Barry University School of Social Work This core course, which we have come to call Dive-In to Expressive Arts – is just that – a deep dive into intermodal expressive arts and a gift to yourself. The
essence of expressive arts is the way it weaves different modalities together – visual art-making, rhythm, movement, poetry, sound, drama, journaling, and more. It is, essentially, a process of remembering something that was likely once natural. By becoming fluent in intermodal process we deepen our own holistic practice and become attuned to how to work with others. In-person Offerings Coming up...
