Art as a Healing Practice is a popular series inspired by Kathleen's own process and discovery with Expressive Arts. Many have benefited from this practice, and there is room in the circle for you. I originally created Art as a Healing Practice twenty + years ago. It emerged organically out of my own personal practice of blending guided meditation, visual art, and writing. I have offered this body of work live in the studio as
individual sessions, series, and retreats. I have crafted it to an online format, and a self-study workshop series. I have had the privilege to witness its powerful effects on many. There are 3 more workshops in 2022: Ecological Self, Mandala, and Synthesis.I would love to welcome you to the circle. Art as a Healing Practice: Ecological Self with Kathleen Horne LMHC, REACE®, REAT® Monday November 21st 6-9 pm EST Online Explore the concept of your Ecological Self, through an integrated
expressive arts process. What is your relationship to the natural world? How has your ecological awareness been shaped and developed over time? Through this gentle and powerful process, listen deeply for any messages that are emerging. We are not separate from the natural world. By developing an awareness of our ecological self, we begin to heal the split and live the connection with increased consciousness and
intention. Art as a Healing Practice: Centering with the Mandala with Kathleen Horne Monday November 28th (Corrected day and time from last week-our apologies) 6-9 pm EST Online ‘Mandala’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘sacred circle’ or simply
‘circle’. Discover the gentle power of creating a personal mandala to invoke centering and integration. Creating within a circle invokes a sense of wholeness and invites us to connect with our essence. You can revisit this meditation again and again, through the recording, whenever you are seeking a centering experience.Online Open Studio with Kathleen 1st + 3rd

SoulCollage® Receiving Counsel from the Council Suit: Discover Your Archetype Guides with Diane
Lampitt, M.Ed. SoulCollage® Facilitator Thursday, December 8th 6-9 pm est Online via Zoom This workshop is for those who have taken an Introduction to SoulCollage® workshop. It is an invitation to take a deep dive into the process to learn about and explore the Companion suit. When we wish to connect with wisdom greater than our own, we can create and consult with our cards in the Council Suit. Listening to their perspective of the “larger story,” (as Seena Frost describes
universal, archetypal and mythical energies) can inspire and inform us at a personal level in our “local/personal story.” Although Council Suit energies are numinous, dynamic, nonlinear patterns existing across times and cultures, our expression of them can be uniquely our own. From the vastness of their “bigger than us” perspective, we can grasp snippets of wisdom to integrate with our ever-evolving inner wisdom. arts therapy is a multimodal approach to counseling that is holistic and acknowledges the complexity of being human. Grounded in humanistic principles, it is assumed that each person has what they need to heal and grow into the best version of themselves. Using different art forms, clients discover inner resources, build new coping strategies, develop their strengths, and come to know themselves more fully. The therapist serves as a guide and a companion on the client’s healing journey by
providing invitations to express feelings and thoughts through creative exploration. This type of counseling considers the whole person, which includes the imagination and new possibilities while honoring the present or current issues that the client is struggling with. Expressive arts therapy incorporates mindfulness skills, somatic awareness, and is trauma sensitive as it enables clients to express what is held in their bodies through more than just words. It is a gentle and supportive process
that is guided by the therapist but led by the client. We are here to support you. With gratitude, Kathleen Horne, MA, LMHC, REACE®, REAT® Tamara Teeter Knapp, MA, K-12 Art, NCC, MHC Intern, REACE® |
