Everyone is inherently a writer...
And everyone can use words to create art...
with Anne Hofland
6 Mondays: 1-2:30pm
February 17th and 24th
March 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd
The desire to tell our stories has been part of the human experience since the beginning of time, in all cultures around the world. Writing can offer us a vehicle to better understand ourselves and each other, can empower us to find our voice, and can provide a transformative and healing experience. It is also an art form, and another
medium to express ourselves creativity.
Come create and share your stories in a safe and supportive environment. Each workshop will consist of writing prompts, time to write, the opportunity to share your work, and to listen and respond to others’ stories. Sharing is always optional, and feedback is always positive. No previous creative writing experience is necessary.
Anne Hofland is returning to facilitate another expressive writing workshop series this winter at Expressive Arts Florida. She is a regular seasonal member of our open studio sessions, and discovered expressive writing as a tool on her own healing journey. She integrates extensive personal experience with the Amherst Writers and Artists workshop method, her skills as an educator, and her training as a facilitator with the Toronto Writers
Collective to provide an opportunity for participants to embark on an inner journey of exploration through writing. Anne has published travel articles, memoir pieces in three anthologies, and was a winner in the City of Toronto’s “My City, My Six” story competition.
